Did you see this, John?
The Texas Tribune:
“Texas has banned more books than any other state, new report shows”
Over the past few years, Texas Republicans have imposed their far-right agenda on the state. They’ve passed extreme abortion bans, permissive gun laws, and voter suppression measures. To top it all off, their extreme policies have led to more banned books than any other state.
So here's the situation, John: We need to flip Texas blue.

Some say it’s too hard for Democrats to win in Texas. But that’s just a myth that Republicans want us to believe.
The truth is that Texas has a rapidly growing population of young Latinos who could reshape the state’s elections. By next November, more than 800,000 Texas Latinos will reach voting age — if we can get these young people to turn up and vote in huge numbers, the Lone Start State would flip blue in no time.
Here’s the problem. Currently, Texas has one of the lowest rates of voter turnout in the country, with young Latinos in Texas voting at even lower rates than the general population. And right now, GOP lawmakers are working to make it even harder for young people to vote.
It’s up to us to counteract Republican voter suppression efforts by registering young Latinos and mobilizing them to cast a ballot. We can drive massive turnout and flip states like Texas blue — but we have to get started now. Will you pitch in? ([link removed])
