John -- the next Democratic presidential debate is tonight, and I have to admit, it comes at a difficult moment.

It’s been a really tough week for our country.

FIRST: President Trump gave a discouraging and disturbing State of the Union address, laying out a dangerous agenda and divisive vision.

THEN: Many of my Senate colleagues failed to hold Trump accountable for serious abuses of power when they chose to acquit him.

NOW: I’ve learned that Trump’s approval rating is higher than it’s ever been.

Honestly, our country cannot afford to endure another four years under this Administration.

It’s clear what we need to do: We need to join forces and work together to defeat Trump or we’ll lose. It’s really that simple.

That means we need to rally behind my friend Joe Biden right now before he takes the debate stage tonight. Will you split a contribution between his campaign and mine?
