Friend, tonight, I'm headed to the Michigan Democratic Party's Legacy Dinner – and I'm thrilled that we're going to be honoring my incredible colleague, Sen. Debbie Stabenow.
Debbie has spent her entire life in public service. She was first elected to office at just 24 years old and later became the first woman to ever represent Michigan in the U.S. Senate. Throughout her years serving our great state, she shattered countless glass ceilings and won huge victories for Michigan families, including expanded access to mental health services, greater protections for our Great Lakes, and critical safeguards for union, American, and manufacturing jobs. And now, after decades of service, she's announced that she will retire after this term.
Sen. Stabenow is an exemplary colleague, mentor and friend. While she will continue to work hard for Michiganders and Americans across the country until she completes her current term, Democrats are coming together tonight to celebrate her incredible legacy.
I want to show Debbie exactly how grateful we are for her years of service, so I'm asking top Democrats on my team to sign this thank-you card before 6 p.m. tonight. Please, will you add your name to congratulate Sen. Stabenow on her well-deserved retirement? I'm showing Debbie this card after the dinner, so sign on right now to send her your thanks!

Thanks so much,
Gary
