3 years ago today, "Nevertheless, she persisted" became a rallying cry
when Mitch McConnell tried to silence Elizabeth Warren on the Senate
floor. She was reading the words of Coretta Scott King while opposing Jeff
Sessions as Attorney General.

In 2020, some counted Elizabeth Warren out in Iowa. Nevertheless, she
persisted!

MSNBC's Ari Melber says "Elizabeth Warren, who was starting to be
undervalued a little bit, is also coming in really well. Who would've told
you a year ago that Elizabeth Warren would be out ahead of Joe Biden?"
FiveThirtyEight's Nate Silver says Warren's diverse coalition gives her a
better chance of being President than Pete Buttigieg -- doubling her
chances after Iowa.

To honor today, Barbara Weniger -- owner of Cookie Time Bakery in
Massachusetts -- has offered to personally bake her famous "She Persisted"
and "Warren 2020" cookies for some lucky Warren supporters.

For Warren, persisting is not just a slogan. Her willingness to fight
powerful interests has helped millions of people.

Warren famously persisted after the 2008 financial crash. She proposed the
Consumer Financial Protection Bureau to fight banks and financial
institutions like credit card companies who wanted to cheat working
families.

She was told it could never be done. Wall Street spent over $1,000,000 A
DAY on lobbyists. Nevertheless, she persisted. She organized. She
advocated. She was effective. And she won. The agency has now returned
over $12 billion to over 29 million consumers.

Warren famously persisted when she ran for Senate in 2012. She was told
she could never defeat a popular well-funded Republican incumbent who was
leading by 20 points. Nevertheless, she persisted -- and she won.

Warren famously persisted in fighting to expand Social Security benefits
in 2013 -- going on offense when many Democrats played defense against
proposed cuts. She catapulted the idea into the mainstream conversation.
She was attacked by corporate interests. In 2015, her legislation got a
vote and we went from 8 to 42 Senate Democrats on the record -- and we've
never looked back. Cuts were off the table.

"Nevertheless, she persisted" is a mantra to millions of women and
millions of progressives across America who want a fighter in the White
House. Someone effective. Someone who wins.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez told PCCC members, "The majority of Americans are with us on the policies. Americans support Medicare for All, expanding Social Security benefits, gun reform, debt-free college, and a $15 minimum wage. Bold progressive values are popular EVERYWHERE. Together, we have the people. Together, with your help, we’ll have the votes." Chip in $3 here: [link removed]
