Scientists are warning the world will breach the 1.5 degrees global warming limit for the first time in the next five years.

This is sooner than expected and will push temperatures into “uncharted territory” with far reaching repercussions for health, food security, water management and the environment.

John, the news is deeply concerning. But the answer is clear. We cannot continue with business as usual.

We must stop burning fossil fuels. We must ditch all new North Sea oil and gas licences, and cancel the Cumbrian coal mine.
