True the Vote Statement on Lawsuit Settlement in League of Women Voters v. Melody Jennings and ‘Clean Elections USA’

Election integrity activist Melody Jennings today settled her dispute with the League of Women Voters of Arizona.

In settling the case, which arose out of the November 2022 general election, both parties acknowledged the importance of the critical First Amendment rights to free speech and peaceful assembly.

“I am happy to have had the opportunity to stand up for the Constitution and assert my rights on behalf of all Americans,” Ms. Jennings said.

True the Vote is pleased to have provided financial support vital for the legal defense.

“There were constitutional issues of great consequence raised in this case. Today was a win for free speech and the right to assemble peaceably. Today, freedom won”, Catherine Engelbrecht, president of True the Vote, commented.

The confidential settlement puts an amicable end to the controversy that began in the lead-up to the 2022 election.
