Team – In recent years, extremists have been spreading hateful and divisive rhetoric – including ideologies that are steeped in racist and anti-LGBTQ prejudice. As a tragic consequence, we’ve seen hate crimes go up all across the country and right here in New York.

Folks, I believe in a New York that is free from hate and prejudice. And as Lt. Gov. I will fight for that New York. I’m proud to say that we’ve invested $25 million in supporting communities that are at risk of hate-crimes.

Our Jewish, AAPI, LGBTQ, and so many other neighbors deserve to feel safe and included in our state.

But this is just the beginning – As Chair of the Hate and Bias Prevention Unit, I will continue to work steadfastly to stand up for marginalized communities.
