It made news this week that our opponent is beating us in the money race -- thanks to corporate PACs and his special interest pals, he’s got about $240,000 more in the bank than we do.

But that number doesn’t tell the whole story. So get in the DeLorean -- I want to take you back in time to two years ago today.

Those same FEC reports predicted a blowout election: Dan Lipinski had a whopping $1.4 million more in the bank than our grassroots campaign did.

Six weeks later, after he spent all that money, we fell just 2% short of defeating him in that election.

That won’t happen again. This time around, we’ve already erased most of Lipinski’s fundraising advantage. The truth is we don’t have to outraise him -- we just need to keep it close. And while Dan has big checks piling up, I’m counting on people like you chipping in what you can when you can.
