Picture this:

You’re 16 years old. You have a life full of dreams and goals ahead of you.

Then suddenly one day, you’re taken from your home, incarcerated and wrongly accused of a crime that you DID NOT commit.

And then you receive a life sentence to be in prison.

That’s it. No more dreams or goals. Your life pretty much ends before it really begins.

This is exactly what happened to me when I was 16, Friends.

The criminal justice system failed me. But I refused to give up.

After spending two decades in prison, I finally got my life back on March 14, 2011 when my conviction was overturned.

Right now, there are scores of people just like me incarcerated for a crime they simply didn’t commit.

We MUST reform our broken criminal justice system.

The Senate has a bill that will fix our criminal justice system that they can pass RIGHT NOW. So I’m collecting 1,000 signatures urging Congress to PASS criminal justice reform.

With your continued support, we CAN change the system. I really do believe that.

But it’s gonna take all of our voices and collective efforts.

Together,

Franky Carrillo
