Here are some updates from today and yesterday.

Today, the district attorney investigating former President Donald Trump’s efforts to overturn the 2020 election in Georgia indicated that charges may come starting at the end of July.

Yesterday, the U.S. Senate voted 49-47 to confirm Nancy G. Abudu to a lifetime appointment as a judge on the 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals. Her confirmation is historic, as she is the first Black woman to ever serve on the 11th Circuit.

Here's what to expect coming up.

Tomorrow, the Texas House will consider three anti-voting bills:

- Senate Bill 1070 would pave the way for the state to leave the voter data organization ERIC,

- Senate Bill 1750 would eliminate the election administrator position in Harris County and

- Senate Bill 1933 would allow for state officials to take over local election systems.

Tomorrow also marks 30 years since former President Bill Clinton signed the National Voter Registration Act into law. This landmark law remains a vital protection today.

On Monday morning, the U.S. Supreme Court will release an order list for pending cases. We’re waiting to see if the Court decides to hear a redistricting case out of Ohio or a felony disenfranchisement case from Mississippi.
