Anti-abortion rights politicians and their allies are using the courts to take away our power to control our own bodies, lives, and futures.
We saw it last year when the Supreme Court overturned
Roe v. Wade, unleashing a wave of state abortion bans. The courts have been used to attack everything from contraception and birth control to environmental protections to LGBTQ+ equality. Meanwhile, the lack of ethics and transparency requirements means that outside groups and individuals can influence Supreme Court justices in ways that can remain secret.
Structural, systemic, and meaningful court reform is the only way to ensure that courts advance justice and equality. We are proud to join our allies and partners across various movements for justice who have led this work for decades.

If we are going to teach our children that the courts are an effective guardian of our rights, we have to ensure they live up to that vision. We need to build a court system — including a Supreme Court — that will uphold our freedoms and defend equality. We need to fight for courts that truly provide equal justice under the law.
