People have a right to privacy — including their data.
That’s why I filed a lawsuit against Google for secretly tracking
consumers’ locations to turn a profit.
Google deceptively led their customers to believe they have control over
their own data. Meanwhile, Google was obtaining sensitive data, including
tracking locations, while users thought they had turned off Google’s
ability to collect this data. This violated the Consumer Protection Act
and the right to privacy Washingtonians deserve.
I’m proud to announce that we held Google accountable. The tech giant is
now forced to pay $40 million and change how they conduct business and
   track consumer data.
   I will continue to hold
powerful interests that don’t play by the rules accountable and take on
billion-dollar corporations that violate the law.
As Governor, I will fight for the right to privacy. [ [link removed] ]If you’re with me,
