The Week in Review
Happy Friday!
I hope you had a wonderful week. I am grateful to serve you all in the 118th Congress. Read below to see what I’ve been working on this week.
Initiative of the Week: Honoring Law Enforcement During National Police Week
This week marks National Police Week and I am forever grateful for our brave men and women in blue.
I introduced a congressional resolution that formally expresses support for law enforcement officers amid a period where radical Leftists seek to defund, dismantle, and disparage state and local enforcement officers.
I testified before the House Rules Committee on my resolution and also provided remarks advocating for our nation’s law enforcement on the House of Representatives Floor.
We must 'back the blue' now more than ever. Crime is surging across our cities in virtually every major statistic. These heroes are the only ones putting themselves in harm’s way to uphold our rule of law and ensure public safety. At the very least, they deserve our gratitude and respect.

Durham Report Confirms Weaponization of DOJ and FBI
This week, Special Counsel John Durham concluded that “neither U.S. nor the Intelligence Community appears to have possessed any actual evidence of collusion in their holdings at the commencement of the Crossfire Hurricane Investigation.”
The findings confirm what most Republicans already believed—which is that the Department of Justice and FBI abused their powers to smear President Trump during the 2016 presidential election. As we can all recall, these agencies declared that President Trump colluded with Russia to meddle with the election outcome. This allegation turned out to be completely false and cost taxpayers $6 million over four years in a probe.
It’s clear that our law enforcement apparatus has been weaponized to target political opponents. We are not having free, open, and reliable elections when our own police state gets involved to alter election outcomes. Those involved in pushing out the fabricated Trump-Russia narrative should serve jail time and FISA spying authorities cannot be reauthorized by Congress at the end of the year.
I will continue to seek out legislative solutions to defund and dismantle the Department of Justice and FBI. They no longer serve the American people and require a complete overhaul from the top to bottom.
House Judiciary Committee Activity
The House Judiciary Committee and I unveiled a damning report titled “FBI Whistleblower Testimony Highlights Government Abuse, Misallocation of Resources, and Retaliation.” The report highlights numerous examples of abuse within the FBI’s senior ranks. The incidents were detailed and submitted to our committee by several FBI whistleblowers.
One whistleblower characterized the current state of the FBI as “cancerous” as the Bureau has “let itself become enveloped in this politicization and weaponization.”
The report also highlights how the FBI’s metric-based bonus structure leads to the improper and unnecessary use of law enforcement tools, how FBI leadership has pressured agents to reclassify cases as domestic violent extremism (DVE) to create the perception that DVE is organically rising across the country, and how the FBI suspended whistleblowers after making good-faith, protected disclosures about agency wrongdoing.
I have long called for the defunding and dismantling of the FBI. The FBI is no longer serving the American people in good faith.
The report may be read here.
House Oversight & Accountability Committee Activity
The House Oversight and & Accountability Committee held a hearing titled “Overdue Oversight of the Capital City: Part II.”
The nation’s capital has become infested with crime and violence over the past few decades and has especially worsened under its current mayor, Muriel Bowser. Washington D.C. has also received an influx of illegal aliens from the southern border and the city has no real solution to address the surge. The large numbers of illegal aliens arriving in the city are straining already-limited resources.
Washington D.C. has become unrecognizable and its lawlessness has deterred tourists from coming to the city. It has also made residents and Members of Congress and their staff feel unsafe.

The Subcommittee on Government Operations and the Federal Workforce held a hearing titled “Tracking the Postal Service: An Update on the Delivering for America Plan.”
The purpose of this hearing was to analyze the Postal Services’ finances, performances, and efforts to modernize after years of struggle.
U.S. Postal Service finances and performance have improved over the last two years in large part due to Postmaster General DeJoy’s ten-year plan, the Delivering for America Plan (DFA).

Withdrawing the United States from the World Health Organization
My good friend and fellow House Freedom Caucus colleague Rep. Ralph Norman (R-SC) hosted a press conference reiterating the necessity to withdraw the United States from the World Health Organization.
The WHO has undermined American interests for many years now and remains one of the most corrupt and ineffective international institutions. It’s why I have introduced legislation titled the WHO Withdrawal Act that requires the President to withdraw the United States from the WHO and to prevent taxpayer money from going towards it.
The WHO is compromised by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). The CCP funds a large portion of the WHO and successfully steered the organization from conducting investigations in China amid the COVID-19 emergency.
It has also been reported that the WHO amplified and parroted CCP messaging—without hesitation—to obfuscate health data and China’s role as the creator of the coronavirus.
America doesn’t need another globalist institution telling us how to run our country. We must protect American interests first.

We saw the largest Drop Zone participant attendance EVER! Thank you to everyone who stopped by and I am looking forward to hosting Drop Zone again next year.

What’s the Biggs Idea Podcast: Border Week Special
The border is in total disarray after the Biden Administration allowed the Title 42 public health order at the southern border to expire last week. The chaos at the southern border brings numerous national security and humanitarian concerns. The magnitude of this border crisis cannot go unnoticed so I hosted several podcast episodes this week to bring more awareness to the issue.
Yuma Mayor Douglas Nicholls, Yuma County Supervisor Jonathan Lines, and Real America’ Voice’s border reporter Ben Bergquam joined me this week. We’ll be posting more episodes soon. Check out our social media pages for updates.
