This week, special counsel John Durham released his report into the Trump-Russia probe which found that the DOJ and FBI “failed to uphold their mission of strict fidelity to the law” and confirmed that the Russia collusion hoax was false.
To say the report’s findings were stunning would be an understatement. I’d encourage you to read at least the executive summary (pages 7-18) for yourself.
The report shows Hillary Clinton personally approved a plan to "vilify Donald Trump by stirring up a scandal claiming interference by Russian security services" on July 26, 2016. The CIA Director John Brennan even briefed President Obama, VP Biden, AG Lynch, and FBI Director Comey on this plan. Yet the whole time, U.S. officials possessed no evidence of collusion that should’ve triggered an investigation or a special counsel.
The Left knew Russian collusion was a lie and yet, they used the full force of Government to push it in order to advance their own political agenda.
This is part of a long, continued pattern of abuse of power at the DOJ and FBI and reinforces how weaponized our federal government has become. The report comes in addition to the actions we’ve seen in recent months to target parents at school board meetings and Catholic groups on the basis of their religious beliefs.
Let’s be clear: the time for talk is over, and there needs to be accountability for the FBI and DOJ’s continued abuses of authority. I am working to ensure Congress uses the power of the purse to defund the bad actors at these agencies and imposes significant consequences for their acts of treason.
