It’s time to let the military do its job.

"McConnell opposes Alabama Republican’s blockade of military nominees over Pentagon abortion policy"

Team — Since we sent this email last month, Mitch McConnell has broken his silence about this dangerous political stunt that’s endangering our national security. It’s time for Washington to stop these political games and let the military do its job. Add your name if you agree.

Subject: One GOP Senator is playing political games with our national security
To: [email protected]

Folks,

When the Supreme Court made its disastrous Dobbs decision, millions of women across the country were instantly stripped of their Constitutional right to an abortion. And in the months following, several Republican-led states passed laws to severely limit or completely ban access to critical health care services.

This includes women serving in our armed forces. Since the end of Roe, 40% of active duty service women have faced limited or no access to reproductive care where they’re stationed. That’s why the Department of Defense implemented a new policy to cover the travel expenses of service members who need to go to states like Colorado — where abortion care is protected — to access the care they need.

Seems logical, right?

Well, not according to one GOP Senator. He’s currently holding up more than 100 military nominations because he objects to the policy, saying that it “politicizes” the military.

But that’s exactly what he’s doing — politicizing the military. By single-handedly holding up every pending military nomination in the Senate, he’s threatening our national security and military readiness for his own political showmanship.

Will you add your name to our petition calling on Washington to stop these political games and let the military do its job? Democrats and Republicans alike have called out this cheap stunt, but we need your help.

Thanks for standing up with us today.
