Oklahoma,

We’re wrapping up another week here in Washington, D.C. And even though the Chuck Schumer-led Senate doesn’t seem to do much – our office is hard at work serving the great people of Oklahoma! Follow along as we get you caught up on what’s been going on. If this email was forwarded to you, you may subscribe to my e-newsletter here.

Our brave men and women of law enforcement wake up every day to selflessly serve and protect our communities. That’s why I was proud to support and help pass Senator JD Vance's resolution to block the D.C. Council's anti-police, pro-crime law in the Senate. Just like in Oklahoma, Americans who visit our nation's capital should not have to fear rampant crime and a radical 'defund-the-police' movement. During this National Police Week, I'm committed to supporting our police and fighting back against the far-left’s constant attack on our nation’s law enforcement.

For 76 years, the Stilwell Strawberry Festival has brought together thousands of Oklahomans for games, live music, strawberries, and of course, the rodeo. It was a joy to ride in the Festival Parade last weekend alongside my boy, Jim and celebrate one of our favorite hometown traditions. It was great to meet with so many of you and I’m already counting down the days for the next fun community event in Oklahoma.

I'd also be remiss if I didn't mention my boys graduation this week. Jim and Jayce, your mom and I are so proud of you and all you’ve accomplished. We love you, and we will always be your biggest champions. Keep working hard and loving the Lord, and you will continue to achieve big things. Congratulations and Happy Graduation!

Christie and I are the proud parents of six wonderful children, three of whom came into our family through the blessing of adoption. Every child in America deserves a safe and loving home, and that’s why I'm dedicated to supporting Oklahoma's children in foster care. America has a significant number of children in foster care, including 6,552 in Oklahoma and 449 without placement. I'm actively working as part of the Senate Foster Youth Caucus to address the challenges they face.

During National Foster Care Awareness Month, I'm incredibly grateful for the gracious volunteers, organizations, and families advocating on behalf of our foster youth. To the foster homes across the state, I offer my deepest appreciation for your contribution. Together, we can lessen the challenges these children face and help them succeed as future leaders, world-changers, and neighbors.

Generations of Oklahomans have dedicated their livelihoods to the beef industry – including my own family. It’s who many of us are in the Sooner State. Oklahoma is proud to be in the Top 5 of states in the nation for cattle and calf production. During National Beef Month, let’s take a moment to celebrate this incredible achievement and voice our appreciation to those who work every day to feed our communities.
