Wanted to give you a quick update on the fight to protect medication abortion.

FIRST, an anti-abortion extremist judge in Texas singlehandedly attempted to ban the use of mifepristone, one of the pills used in medication abortion, by ruling the FDA needed to undo its approval of the drug. (The FDA studied, reviewed, and approved mifepristone 20 years ago).

THEN the Supreme Court agreed to hear arguments in the case — and after its disastrous reversal of 50 years of precedence in overturning Roe v. Wade, we know where this Court stands on abortion rights.

NOW news is breaking that the conservative-stacked 5th Circuit Court of Appeals is poised to uphold the Texas judge's ruling and restrict or destroy access to mifepristone.

This is exactly why Senate Republicans, led by Mitch McConnell, spent their recent years in control of the Senate ramming through an unprecedented number of judicial confirmations. They knew that judicial monopolies would give them a new advantage in the fight to eradicate reproductive freedom in America.

Protecting the Senate majority means protecting our judiciary from further anti-choice takeover, and protecting access to medication abortion.
