I hate to say it, but this has been one of the hardest weeks on the campaign so far.

After being hit with a brand new 5 figure ad blitz by the GOP’s biggest Super PAC, the Republicans put out a press release calling me “the most vulnerable Democrat” in California. They aren’t even keeping it a secret who they’re targeting - it’s me.

And at the same time, we’re struggling to reach our fundraising goal this month. I almost couldn’t believe it when I saw we’re only 18% to our fundraising goal for the organizing and digital investments we need to make.

It’s going to take an incredible effort to take back the House in 2024, and if we lose this race there is no way we’re going to take back the Speaker’s gavel from extremists like Kevin McCarthy and Marjorie Taylor Greene.

I’ve told my team we need a plan of response: that means hiring field organizers, digital ads in English and Spanish to fight misinformation, and investing in new strategies to reach young voters (more on this to come!).

But we can’t do any of this until we pick up the pace on our fundraising. That’s why I need your support today so we can respond to the GOP’s new 5 figure attack campaign and make these critical investments.
