We hope you have had a great week and Mother’s Day this past Sunday! Congressman Kim had a full week in Washington, including meetings with local stakeholders and hearings covering global competition and international development. He is excited to spend his Friday night with neighbors at a town hall in Marlboro tonight!

It is National Police Week, an important time to remember fallen officers and show our support for local law enforcement’s commitment to keeping our communities safe. We’re grateful for their service everyday.

TODAY: Congressman Kim to Host Town Hall During Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Heritage Month

Today at 6 PM, join Congressman Kim for his town hall in Marlboro! The town hall will begin with a performance by students from Marlboro’s Huaxia South Chinese School! In recognition of AANHPI Heritage Month, Congressman Kim will speak about his efforts to uplift the AAPI community and speak about his latest work in Congress on behalf of NJ-03.

When: May 19th at 6 PM

Where: Marlboro High School, Main Auditorium at 95 N Main St, Marlboro, NJ 07746. All attendees should use the Main Entrance.

Help Celebrate Armed Forces Day at the Joint Base!

This Saturday and Sunday, Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst is hosting their Power in the Pines Air and Space Show! It’ll be a great time for the whole family with incredible performances and displays. Find more details here!

As Ranking Member of the Military Personnel Subcommittee, Congressman Kim is committed to putting people first and meeting the needs of our servicemembers and their families to honor their service and sacrifices for our country.

Congressman Kim Helps Honor National Police Week

In recognition of National Police Week, our office was proud to deliver 15 American flags to help honor fallen police officers. The flags were flown above the U.S. Capitol and presented at Burlington County Police Chiefs Association’s ceremony this week.

Congressman Kim works continuously with local law enforcement to ensure officers have the resources they need to keep our communities and themselves safe. A part of his ongoing efforts, he was proud to deliver direct funding for local police last year!

Congressman Kim Meets with CASA Representatives

CASA volunteers are often a life-changing partner for foster care youth. Congressman Kim is proud to support their work advocating for children's growth and success. He met with representatives from CASA of Mercer, Burlington, Monmouth, and Ocean Counties this week to discuss their ongoing efforts.

Last year he secured direct federal funding for local CASA organizations to help them continue and grow this vital work!

Celebrating National Skilled Nursing Care Week

Congressman Kim visited Hamilton Continuing Care Center today to help recognize their incredible staff and all the healthcare workers who uplift our communities with kindness and tireless service!

Today,Congressman Kim joined students at Moorestown Friends Upper School to talk about the power in civic participation, uplifting young people’s powerful voice, and AANHPI Heritage Month.

Congressman Kim Discusses the National Security Implications and Risks of Defaulting on the Treasury’s Debt

As negotiations continue on the debt limit, Congressman Kim and Representatives Brendan Boyle (PA-02) and Jack Auchincloss (MA-04) wrote an op-ed about the foreign policy risks of defaulting on the U.S. Treasury’s debt. In it they said,

“Nothing would be more devastating to the United States’ global leadership, or more helpful to China’s ambitions, than unleashing an economic catastrophe by defaulting on the Treasury’s debt.”

The Congressman also spoke to NJ Spotlight News about the importance of not jeopardizing American’s individual economic security or U.S. standing on the global stage by playing politics with the debt limit.

Upcoming: Webinar on Safe Streets for All Grant Funding

On May 24th at 11 AM, our office and U.S. Department of Transportation partners are hosting a webinar on applying for the Safe Streets for All grant program. Thanks to the bipartisan infrastructure law, the program funds regional, local, and Tribal initiatives through grants to prevent roadway deaths and serious injuries.
