Act now to save the teak forests of Myanmar

Hello John,

As you may have seen in the news, the situation in Myanmar is bleak. The military regime are stopping at nothing to crack down on their opponents. They are also desperate for money, and destroying the country’s forests to raise funds from the illicit sale of timber.

But there are reasons for hope. The people of Myanmar continue to mount an extraordinarily brave campaign of strikes and protests against the coup.

And our friends are out there, fighting to protect the forests. These ‘forest defenders’ are among Myanmar’s most important environmental champions. They have been at the forefront of protecting the teak forests and forest-dwelling wildlife.

Will you stand with the forest defenders and donate today? A gift will help us continue to fight to protect forests and endangered species.

Yes I’ll donate today!
Thanks to your support, we have successfully campaigned for international sanctions to prevent the sale of Myanmar teak.

Will you take a stand now to show your solidarity with the forest defenders of Myanmar?
