Three weeks ago, Tarrant County Judge Tim O'Hare refused to rule out hiring a new Elections Administrator who questions the legitimacy of the 2020 presidential election results, calling it “not an automatic disqualifier.” Now, he and the extremist group "True Texas Project" have created a brand new unit, without notice, to investigate and prosecute so-called “voter fraud".
I won't stand for it.
As the Chair of the Congressional Voting Rights Caucus, I'm taking immediate action to protect Tarrant County voters' ability to freely and effectively participate in elections. That's why I've joined my fellow Tarrant County elected officials to request an investigation from the U.S. Department of Justice Civil Rights Division.
