Friend,
Right now, 110 million Americans risk drinking water contaminated with PFAS, a chemical linked to an array of adverse health effects including birth defects and cancer.
Last month, the House of Representatives took action to protect them by passing
The PFAS Action Act. The bill will keep families safer from PFAS poisoning by setting regulations for PFAS in our drinking water and requiring polluters to clean up contamination.
But the fight isn't over, the Senate has yet to put the PFAS Action Act to a vote and every day they fail to act is another day our communities risk exposure or illness.
The House did their duty, now the Senate must act. Add your name to our petition and demand that the PFAS Action Act be put to a vote.
The people of New York's 19th are well aware of the dangers associated with PFAS contamination.
The House passed comprehensive legislation to combat the PFAS crisis poisoning our drinking water, but frustratingly the Senate is dragging its feet. After witnessing the Senate table
countless bills these last few years, one thing is clear: a broad coalition demanding action is required to push this through.
Friend, add your name to our petition and tell the Senate to act. PFAS contamination must be curbed, for the well-being of all Americans.
Thank you,
Team Delgado
