Hi,

Monarch butterflies are going extinct because of companies like Bayer-Monsanto.

Bayer-Monsanto products, like Roundup, contain toxic chemicals that are killing the natural habitats and food sources of the monarch.1 Bayer-Monsanto has wreaked havoc on the environment, public health, and wildlife for years — corporations are taking so much from us, just so they can rack up record profits and increase executive pay. Congress must investigate Bayer-Monsanto for its threats to the Monarch Butterfly and other endangered species.

Sign the petition to Congress: Save the Monarch Butterfly, investigate Bayer-Monsanto!

Monsanto has a history of destroying the environment and making people sick. In 2020, the mega-corporation agreed to pay over $10 billion dollars to 95,000 people alleging Roundup caused their cancer.2 In 2021, Monsanto pleaded guilty to thirty environmental crimes related to the use of a pesticide on corn fields in Hawaii.3

Monsanto has preyed on smaller farms across the country with lawsuits and genetically modified seeds. The corporation has sued more than 800 family farms and driven dozens to bankruptcy after accusing farms of stealing their dubiously patented seeds after a process known as "genetic contamination.”4 Monsanto took over agriculture and devastated crop yields on millions of acres of family farms.5

A corporation inflicting this much damage should not be allowed to continue lining their wealthy pockets at the expense of so many people, animals, and natural habitats. We can’t let Bayer-Monsanto take the beautiful, fluttering Monarch Butterfly from us too.

Add your name urging Congress to investigate Bayer-Monsanto before it’s too late to save the Monarch Butterfly from extinction!

Thanks for taking action,

Tihi and the team at Demand Progress
