Muslim Community Network (MCN) has launched a search for a new Executive Director as Aniqa Nawabi transitions out of her role and makes way for MCN’s next wave of leadership. After five years of spearheading MCN's programmatic and strategic advancement and growth, Aniqa will remain committed to MCN's mission and evolve into being a member of the Board of Directors.
The next leader will inherit a thriving organization providing essential services and advocacy for Muslim New Yorkers through a dedicated, professional staff of seven and engaged corps of youth. The organization, with a budget of just under $1 million, is also financially stable.
A search committee led by MCN's Board Chair, Dr. Debbie Almontaser, and Board Secretary, Laila Al-Askari will recruit the next leader.
The New Executive Director will build upon MCN's 21-year history and track record of being a critical institution of our community that has big ambitions to solidify the Muslim communities’ power and presence in our city.
