Victory Fund President & CEO Mayor Annise Parker joined NPR yesterday evening to talk about what Pete's victory means for LGBTQ progress.
Vox is also running a series that makes a case for each Democratic contender for U.S. President. Read Pete’s here!
During a controversial moment, one caucus-goer changed her vote upon learning that Pete is gay. When asked about it on The View, Pete had this noble response: “I’m running to be her president, too.”
It's clear that Pete shattered expectations. How’d he do it? The same way he’ll win in November.
With Iowa finally wrapped up, all the candidates have moved briskly on to New Hampshire, where Pete is now closing in on first in the latest polling. On stage in the Granite State, Pete reflected on how far the LGBTQ community has come. Watch the video here:

LGBTQ Victory Fund has helped thousands of openly LGBTQ candidates win elections up and down the ballot, from sea to shining sea since our founding in 1991. We believe representation is power – so we elected U.S. Senators Tammy Baldwin and Kyrsten Sinema, Governors Jared Polis and Kate Brown, all seven LGBTQ members of U.S. Congress and countless candidates for state and local government, including Virginia Delegate Danica Roem, Colorado state Representative Leslie Herod and Pennsylvania Assemblymember Brian Sims. And with an unprecedented number of LGBTQ people running for office in this year, we’ll need your support to make 2020 the next Rainbow Wave.
