Knowing When Your Client Has Achieved Mortgage Readiness

Join NCRC’s National Training Academy (NTA) for this course designed to provide housing counselors with a comprehensive understanding of assessing a client’s mortgage readiness. Regional Banking Crisis Dooms More Bank Branches

NCRC’s report found that two-thirds of banking institutions disappeared from the early 1980s to 2021, when the number dropped below 5,000. Nine percent of all branches in the U.S. closed between 2017 and 2021, a loss of about 7,000 physical locations, and the closure rate doubled during the pandemic, with low- to moderate-income neighborhoods and minority neighborhoods hit especially hard. Despite Budget Deficit, California Mayors Want Steady Money For Housing And Homelessness

The mayors of California's 13 largest cities gathered at the state Capitol on Wednesday, urging state lawmakers and the governor to provide local governments with a stable source of funding for them to address housing and homelessness. The request comes days after Gov. Gavin Newsom announced he and the Legislature will need to tighten spending as a result of an estimated $31.5 billion budget shortfall. St. Louis Housing Advocates Say Trans People Face Housing Discrimination

Transgender people in the St. Louis region complain that some shelter operators and landlords are denying them housing because of their gender identities, housing advocates say.
