Jeff Wins Sac News & Review Co-Endorsement!

In great news on Thursday, the Sacramento News & Review announced endorsing Jeff Burdick for Congress... and Ami Bera. Said the SNR Editorial Board: “Bera and Burdick are clearly the two most qualified of the five on the ballot... Just as Democrats are doing in the presidential primary, the district’s voters will decide whether they want a more moderate candidate or a more progressive one. It’s a debate the party, and nation, need to have.”

The SNR’s recommendation is for Jeff to make the Top 2, which would “set up an eight-month campaign to hash out their policy differences and qualifications.” But since CA-7 voters don’t get two votes, the only way to make this happen is to vote Burdick for Congress in the primary! And with mail-in ballots already sent out, you can do that today!

Bera Gives 99 Billion Reasons for Fundraising Reform

This endorsement came on the heels of Burdick for Congress releasing an exclusive study that revealed in 2019 Bera raised $150,000 from 69 corporations that also paid a whopping $99 billion in federal and state fines/penalties combined since 2000.

Said Jeff: “Voters of all parties are tired of corporate-backed candidates and hunger for a principled alternative to politicians who happily get in bed with our worst corporate actors.”

The great news is Sacramento has a golden opportunity to show the nation how we take back our democracy from corporate control. That’s by first voting for Jeff, who has taken the most principled fundraising pledge in the nation and is ready to fight to pass a nonpartisan Election Reform Constitutional Amendment.
