A big thanks to Senator Mayes Middleton and Representative Valoree Swanson for their in-depth and tireless work on this bill that will protect female College athletes from having to compete unfairly with men in women's sports!

 88th Legislative Session Updates

Only two weeks left in the 2022-23 Legislative Session! We still have a lot of work to do!!

SB 559 – A bill to protect the religious freedom of attorneys from being punished for their biblical beliefs on marriage, sexuality, and life; still needs a vote by the full Texas House. A rule by the State Bar of Texas has been proposed on this harmful issue, so we must pass this state law now!!

SB 14 – SB 14 passed the Texas House and is headed to the Governor's desk! Thank you to Representative Tom Oliverson & Senator Donna Campbell for your leadership on this issue to protect Texas kids! And thank you to our team and supporters who showed up for a long day at the Capitol in favor of protecting children by ending harmful gender transition surgeries on minors and on the use of public money or public assistance to provide those procedures and treatments.

SB 12 – Authored by Representative Bryan Hughes in FAVOR of protecting TX kids from being exposed to detrimental, sexually explicit drag shows! The bill will be voted on in the House tomorrow, Friday, May 19.

SB 24 – Pro-life bill supporting mother's and babies through "Alternatives to Abortion Program" will receive a vote in the Texas House tomorrow, May 19.

The Texas Values team is working long 12+ hour days at the Texas State Capitol to keep YOU informed of the important issues taking place during the 88th Legislative Session. Listen to the "Save Women's Sports" Press Conference held at the Capitol recently.

Special Guest, Michele Tafoya, Shares Her Thoughts about Men in Women's Sports

“We certainly can’t compete with men so
why should men be able to compete against us?...
I’m not sure what their motivation is. Inclusivity? It’s not fair, we’ve seen it in cycling, in MMA, in power lifting, it’s NOT Fair!” Michele Tafoya
