Child Labor & the Immigration Connection - A recent report revealed children as young as 13 working in meat packing plants across the US. This is a result of unprecedented workforce shortages and the broken US immigration system. Republican Business Leader Stan Marek calls for ID and Tax legislation as a solution. ID and Tax would allow unauthorized immigrants that can pass background checks to earn tamper-proof IDs and work permits and require that they work for employers who deduct and match taxes. This solution would combat inflationary workforce shortages, increase federal revenues without raising taxes on citizens, and improve national security.

Cornyn, Senate GOP Introduce Back the Blue Act - Senator John Cornyn and 38 of his Senate Republican colleagues introduced the Back the Blue Act, which would increase penalties for criminals who target law enforcement officers and provide new tools for officers to protect themselves: “Our law enforcement officers put their lives on the line every day to serve families across Texas,” said Sen. Cornyn. “Violent criminals who target those who protect our communities should face swift and tough penalties, and the Back the Blue Act sends that clear message.”

Arrington Reintroduces Bicameral Legislation to Repeal Biden’s “Made-in-America” Tax - Representative Jodey Arrington joined Senator John Barrasso to reintroduce HR 3210 – the Book Minimum Tax Repeal Act – to reverse the punitive new tax which will fall on U.S. manufacturers, energy producers, and job creators amid historic inflation and economic uncertainty. In August 2022, Congressional Democrats passed their reckless tax and spending bill. The largest tax increase in the bill was a new 15% tax on financial statement, or “book,” income of certain U.S. companies.
