John: Imagine being forced to flee the only home you’ve ever known with little time to pack and no idea if or when you’ll return. This is the terrifying reality for millions of children affected by conflict and disaster – including 8-year-old Jasmin,* whose family fled Ukraine when the war escalated last year.
Now, they live in Poland, and Jasmin regularly attends Save the Children-supported programs at their local library, including digital learning classes, creative workshops and psychosocial support sessions. It’s made a world of difference as Jasmin adjusts to her new life, helping her keep up in school, connect with her community and address the trauma she’s experienced.
Thanks to generous champions for children like you, our partners are running similar programs in 51 libraries across Poland to help more children like Jasmin get the support they need to survive and thrive amid the ongoing war. Team Tomorrow members make it possible for us to make similar investments in children’s futures all over the world, helping address systemic issues including conflict, disaster, poverty and climate change.
