John,

There are 120 guns for every 100 Americans — the highest rate of ANY
country in the world. So if more guns are supposed to make us safer, why
haven't they already?

While Republicans claim that gender affirming care, African American
history, and childrens' books are stripping our country of its safety and
security — our nation is at war with assault weapons and we're losing more
and more innocent lives every day.

John, we need to
put all the pressure on those with the power to finally ban assault
weapons and fix our failing gun laws. But the only way we'll be able to do
that is by supporting leaders in Congress who are dedicated to fighting
for our communities' safety. And we know Pramila is that leader.

[ [link removed] ]Can you support Pramila as she fights to change our pervasive culture
of violence and ban assault weapons once and for all? We'll need as many
supporters as possible on our side if we want to make the biggest impact
in Congress.

Children should not be terrified of going to school. Families should not
be terrified of going to the mall. Churches should be safe havens, not
shooting ranges. And yet time and time again, Republicans in Congress
downplay the severity of the culture of violence and gun obsession in our
country.

It begs the question: What is more important, their incorrect
interpretation of the 2nd Amendment or our lives? Hint: this is a
rhetorical question. The catch is: we currently have the tools to find a
solution to this crisis, but Republicans are hellbent on keeping our
country in the gridlock of inaction.

Enough is enough. Pramila is determined to shake the status quo and
finally bring an end to the nightmare created by a lack of gun control
laws.

From banning assault weapons to strengthening our mental health resources,
there's so much work that needs to be done — but we have a vision for
change and Pramila won't rest until it's our new reality. [ [link removed] ]Chip in today
to support Pramila and our collective movement to ban assault weapons and
finally make our country safer, more secure, and stronger together.
