Dear Friend,
Today we’re uniting with LGBTQ family and allies worldwide to mark the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, and Transphobia (IDAHOBIT). In 2004, activists founded IDAHOBIT to draw global attention to human rights violations against LGBTQ people. Now, almost 20 years later, it is recognized as a call to action in over 130 countries—including 37 where same sex relations are criminalized.
Today, Immigration Equality stands in solidarity with LGBTQ movements fighting for freedom and dignity in countries where it is illegal or unsafe to be LGBTQ.
Immigration Equality stands up against homophobia, biphobia, and transphobia every day. Through advocacy and free legal help for LGBTQ refugees, we are building a world where every LGBTQ person can live as their true self. Help support LGBTQ and HIV-positive asylum seekers by donating today!
In solidarity,
Immigration Equality |
