We knew something was up when we got a tip about Boebert not wearing her wedding ring in recent photos. From there we set our opposition researchers on combing through all of Boebert’s photos from the last six months and noticed a pattern:

From there we began posting our findings on Twitter, and shortly thereafter we received another tip from a confidential source in Boebert’s district with knowledge about the Colorado court system letting us know we were on the right track. And they provided us with the court date and case number for the first divorce hearing.

With case number in hand we were able to see all of the filings within the case and purchased all the documents that had been produced in the case so far. Among the documents released was one from the process server who delivered the divorce papers to Jayson Boebert, which makes it clear that all is not well in Boebert-land:

Once the whole picture had been made clear, and with the corroborating documents, it wasn’t long before the story went supersonic on the national media circuit and on social media.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with two partners doing what's best for them and taking the steps to separate. What is not OK is Boebert using her platform as a Congresswoman to preach Christian nationalism and its hardline views on women's rights and family values whilst hypocritically practicing the very same “anti-family” behaviors in her personal life.

Boebert once told women having marriage troubles: ‘Chase after Jesus and your husband will chase you’, and on numerous occasions Boebert has advocated for turning America into a right-wing Christian nationalist theocracy saying she is “tired” of the long-standing separation between church and state in this nation and that the “The church is supposed to direct the government.”

Implicit within theocracies and Christofascist doctrine is the stripping of a woman's right to make her own decisions on matters such as abortion and divorce. For Boebert it is fire and brimstone family values for thee but not for me.

Clearly the story we broke has gotten under her skin as she has already requested that the media give her privacy. We won’t let up though. The more pressure she faces from every angle the more we can overextend her and her campaign, make them slip up, and diminish her chances at reelection
