Friend, I may have just been a grunt soldier who spent his time in service trying to figure out whether to cut the red wire or blue wire on bombs, but I did it because all I’ve ever wanted to do was serve my country – first in the military, and after my injury rendered that impossible, as a Republican representative in Congress fighting for the same American values that I defended on the battlefield.
Although I lost two legs and a finger during that military service when I was blown up by radical Islamic terrorists, I consider myself fortunate to wake up each morning with the opportunity to watch my kids grow up and continue serving our nation. My service is informed by my first-hand experience of the sacrifices our veterans go through.
That’s why it’s so shameful to watch Joe Biden use those veterans as pawns in his politicking. To put a finer point on it – this same President who is now lying to you about us cutting vet benefits is someone who was checking his watch as our heroes returned in coffins and who HIMSELF voted to cut vet benefits at least 3 different times!
To be blunt – Biden is full of shit, Friend. If he really cared about veterans, he wouldn’t have allowed Afghanistan to become Club Med for terrorists again or pushed Woke nonsense on our troops while we experience a recruiting crisis.
Bottom line, this is not a man who appreciates the sacrifices of our military. This is a man who cares only about his own political career and who has no trouble lying to veterans when it serves him.
