Andy Beshear: Will you chip in right now to elect Democratic governors across the country?

Hey team – it’s Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear with a critical update.

On Tuesday night, Kentucky Republicans nominated Daniel Cameron as their party’s nominee for governor. He is Mitch McConnell’s political protege and handpicked candidate for governor. When you see his record, you’ll understand why: he’s an extremist that puts partisanship before doing his job, protecting our communities, or prioritizing our kids’ futures. We cannot let him reach the Governor’s Office.

But despite his record, I know this race will come down to the wire. To win I’ll need grassroots supporters like you standing with me every step of the way. Please, will you split $3 or more between my campaign and the Democratic Governors Association? Donations made at critical moments like this help our team build the momentum we need to win on Election Day and help elect Democratic governors across the country. And as an added bonus, each and every donation to the DGA up to our $35,000 emergency goal will be matched dollar for dollar.

Team, I’m the only incumbent Democratic governor on the ballot this fall, and the GOP is laser-focused on flipping Kentucky red. They want to send Daniel Cameron to the Governor’s Office by any means necessary, and they’ll use every trick in their playbook to do it.

But I don’t care how many attack ads they run against me. I’m incredibly proud of the work we’ve done for Kentucky.

-We’ve grown the economy.
-We’ve led Kentucky to its lowest unemployment rate in our state's history.
-We’ve expanded voting rights.
-We’ve defended health care access for nearly 100,000 people.
-And throughout it all, I’ve never hesitated to use my veto power as a last line of defense against the worst of the far-right’s extreme agenda.

Team, in 2019, I beat Matt Bevin by just 5,136 votes. The pundits said we couldn’t do it, but we overcame the odds because of grassroots supporters like you believed in me, in my campaign, and in the people of Kentucky.

Now, I’m asking you to believe in us once more. Will you rush a donation of $3 or whatever you can afford before midnight tonight to power my campaign at this critical moment and elect Democratic governors all across the country?
