Did you hear about this, John?

A panel of advisors for the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) voted to recommend offering birth control pills over the counter.

If passed, that means all of us will have access to contraceptive pills without the burden of going to the doctor's office. Given that more than 685,000 Pennsylvanians are uninsured, this could open the door for our most vulnerable communities to plan their futures on their own terms.

With the increasing number of attacks on reproductive freedom, including from my anti-choice opponent GOP Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick, we need to be removing barriers to birth control access and other forms of reproductive healthcare for people across the country.

But Brian has voted time and time again to restrict access to reproductive care — making it clear he is willing to strip away our constitutional rights for cheap political points.

I went to war to defend our freedom, and that includes our reproductive rights. I’ll never stop fighting for those freedoms and affordable healthcare. I hope you will chip in any amount to send me to Washington so I can keep up the fight in Congress. >>
