Dear friends,
My name’s Tony Riddle. I’m a Survival supporter, natural lifestyle coach, and author of the book ‘Be More Human’. I’d long wanted to raise funds for Survival – an organization and a cause that really inspires me. So in 2020, I decided to take part in the Three Peaks National Challenge to fundraise for Survival.
Usually, the Three Peaks challenge entails scaling the three highest peaks in the UK in 24 hours, driving from one peak to the next. But I wanted to take it even further: I decided to climb the peaks barefoot – and to run the distance between each one.
This was a tough challenge – physically, emotionally and psychologically. In fact, I coined a new word to summarize the whole experience, ‘brut-iful’: intensely brutal and incredibly beautiful in equal measure. Extreme weather conditions during the run – combined with a broken toe sustained along the way – didn’t help, but the support of my family and knowledge that I was doing this for such an incredible cause provided massive encouragement throughout.
The whole experience really showed me the power of fundraising through physical challenge events, and I ultimately raised over £8,000 for Survival.
As an endurance athlete and huge Survival supporter, Move for Survival really resonates with me. This year, it will take place 26-28 May. You can walk, run 5km, dance or move yourself in any way that feels like a challenge for you.
By participating, you will not only become part of an amazing community dedicated to a great cause, but you will also help to raise vital funds that contribute directly to fighting alongside Indigenous communities globally.
So don’t just do it, be it – sign up today and make the choice to move for the survival of Indigenous and tribal peoples. You won’t regret it!
With kind regards,
Tony Riddle
