[The Overnight]([link removed])

On Saturday, June 3, thousands of people from all over the country will gather at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C., to walk from dusk till dawn in the fight against suicide. Join us at this year's [Out of the Darkness Overnight Walk]([link removed]) to raise awareness and funds for suicide prevention, and join a community of people who understand the impact of suicide loss.

For Raymond Burke and his wife Mary Anne, this year's event will be the 26th in-person Overnight Walk they have attended since losing their son Matthew to suicide in 2001. They have been to every single one. [In a recent article in AFSP's Real Stories blog]([link removed]), Raymond shared what The Overnight means to him:

"As Mary Anne and I prepare ourselves for our 26th Overnight, we realize our road to recovery has not been easy, but that our resolve has never been stronger. Participating in The Overnight Walks has helped us so much in putting the shattered pieces back together in our lives. Matthew fought the good fight for as long as he could, and slipped away. The memories and moments he provided will always be a part of us. We hold him close as we participate in each Overnight. Our motivation is to give his life meaning, and help others who struggle or have been affected by this leading cause of death."

Join Raymond, Mary Anne, and thousands of others for this year's Overnight. Together, we can help save lives and bring hope to those affected by suicide.
