Making Sure Climate Funds Get to the Communities Who Need Them Most

Hi John,
Climate change is wreaking havoc on our planet. Rising sea levels, natural disasters, drought, and human displacement are just some of the devastating consequences of our inaction. Low-income communities and communities of color suffer greater climate impacts than their wealthier or white counterparts. Yet, their neighborhoods are also the least likely to get funding to help. It’s time to take action and change this disparity.

That is why Dream.Org has launched the Live Green Or Die Tryin' campaign — a call to arms that demands action not simply on climate change but on who gets access to climate change fighting funds. The campaign seeks to uplift community-based solutions to the cascade of problems caused by the climate crisis, acknowledging that people are suffering from its impacts now.
It's now or never — we’ve got to Live Green Or Die Tryin'. The recently unlocked $369 billion in climate investments by the Inflation Reduction Act means we have a historic opportunity to funnel these funds to the communities most in need. The Live Green Or Die Tryin' campaign will work to ensure these green dollars are distributed equitably and support initiatives that prioritize the communities most affected by climate change.
The first step to make sure solutions come from the bottom, and not the top, is for you to tell us what climate solutions need funding in your community.

Every voice, penny, and action counts. We can't afford to waste this opportunity to make a difference. It’s time to Live Green Or Die Tryin'.
