** Good morning,
Thank you to everyone who attended the Coalition to Prevent Lead Poisoning’s Annual Meeting last week. If you would like a copy of the presentation we shared, please send a request.

As promised, here is your call to action. Contact your NYS elected representatives and tell them that for the safety of all NYS’s children, we must past the bills the listed below. Ask them (if they are not already) to co-sponsor these bills.

Our state legislature is divided into two separate bodies: the New York State Senate and the New York State Assembly. We are each represented by one State Senator and one State Assembly Member, each determined by your address.

* To find your NYS Senator: www.nysenate.gov/senators
* To find your NYS Assembly Member: www.assembly.state.ny.us ([link removed])

Contact your elected officials by email, telephone, or contact their local office and ask for a meeting with the elected official or relevant staff member.
1. S.2191 Bailey / A.434 Bronson

Establishes the "New York state lead-safe renovation, repair and painting act"; establishes standards for lead-safe renovation, repair and painting of residential properties; requires documentation of compliance with such standards.

2. S.2353 Kavanagh / A.4820 Rivera
[link removed]
Requires the disclosure of lead-based paint test reports in real estate transactions
3. S.88 Ryan / A.1687 JD Rivera
[link removed]
Protects renters exposed to lead-based paint by prohibiting the exclusion of coverage for losses or damages caused by exposure to lead-based paint from liability coverage provided to rental property owners.

** TAKE ACTION AND PLEASE SHARE with individuals, groups, or organizations that are concerned about an environmentally safe future and the health and well-being of our children. Thank you.
