Miklós Szánthó Joins NYYRC Board of Advisors
The New York Young Republican Club is proud to announce that the Director General of the Center for Fundamental Rights, Mr. Miklós Szánthó, has agreed to join its Board of Advisors. The Club’s Board of Advisors includes conservative thought leaders who guide the New York Young Republican Club in directing its energies and priorities. The Club’s Board of Directors has confidence that Mr. Szánthó will make valuable contributions to the Club by serving in this capacity.
As Director General of the Center for Fundamental Rights, Mr. Szánthó leads the organization in its mission to counter the globalist vision of destroying Western society. The Center plays a key role in the transatlantic effort to develop connections between conservatives. Most recently, the Center hosted the second annual CPAC Hungary conference in Budapest, Hungary, bringing together thousands of conservatives under the theme of “United We Stand.” The Center also publishes books in Hungarian and English and engages in legal research and analysis.
Club President Mr. Gavin Wax noted that: “Miklós operates at an unmatched level in fostering connections between American and European conservatives. We value him both for his academic, fact-driven approach to decision-making and analysis, as well as his ability to inspire teams to perform at the highest level. Miklós’s willingness to push back against leftist tyranny and fake news lies shows inspirational mettle, and we are proud that our members will benefit from his insight as he serves on our Board of Advisors.”
Mr. Szánthó expressed his gratitude for the honor of being appointed as the first member of the Board of Advisors from continental Europe and highlighted his firm belief that this distinction is a reflection of the fact that New York and Hungarian conservatives stand shoulder to shoulder in the civilizational struggle against the increasingly barbaric forces of the global Left. He noted the special courage it takes to stand up for our shared values of God, Homeland, and Family. Szánthó warned that our adversaries had twisted our world beyond recognition. This is particularly evident when it comes to the war in Ukraine: as Liberals agitate for more violence, it has fallen to us as conservatives to demand in the name of common sense: “Make Kids not War” – a sentiment once shared even by hippies in San Francisco.
The addition of Mr. Szánthó to the Board of Advisors follows the February 22, 2023, partnership agreement between the Club and the Center. The agreement signed by Mr. Szánthó and Mr. Wax in Budapest, Hungary, on that date noted that:
“Conservatives around the world are confronted with similar threats. […] Although the proponents of globalist liberalism claim that international cooperation between conservative forces is intrinsically unthinkable, we will prove them wrong. An ocean divides us, yet we are confronted with the same politically correct, woke formula in Europe and America. We do not think in terms of supranationalism, but in terms of cooperation between national forces.“
The Budapest-based Center for Fundamental Rights (Alapjogokért Központ) is a Hungarian research institute dealing with legal analysis since 2013. The Center considers preserving national identity, sovereignty, and Christian social traditions as its mission, especially amongst the 21st century’s heightened process of globalization, integration, geopolitical, and technological changes, affecting the field of law as well. Therefore the Center for Fundamental Rights had the honor of being the first organization in Europe to host the Conservative Political Action Conference, CPAC Hungary.
Established in 1911, and incorporated in 1912, with a legacy from 1856, the New York Young Republican Club is the oldest, largest, and most prestigious Young Republican club in the United States. Today, it is the most vocal America First organization operating in the New York Metropolitan Area and among the most vocal nationally, and it sets the trend for innovation in young adult outreach supporting local, state, and federal political candidates. The Club is affiliated with and officially recognized by the Association of New York State Young Republican Clubs and the Young Republican National Federation, as well as the county, state, and national Republican committees.
Support Daniel Penny, Victim of Alvin Bragg’s Perversion of Justice
The New York Young Republican Club is proud to make an initial $500 contribution to the GiveSendGo campaign supporting Daniel Penny. Penny is yet another victim of Alvin Bragg’s campaign against justice.
We will not be silent as Bragg builds his political credentials on the back of patriotic Americans. Democrats allow our streets to be filled with dangerous crackheads, and Penny’s prosecution underscores that New Yorkers have no right to self-defense under Bragg. It’s unacceptable.
We call on all members, supporters, and Americans to advocate in Penny’s interest. Bragg’s reign of terror cannot and will not be accepted, and we must push back against Soros DAs’ attempts to destroy our nation through a perversion of justice.
The eyes of the country will soon be on New York City, and it is up to our community whether we want to ruin things further, as Minneapolis-St Paul in Minnesota did in 2020. The New York Young Republican Club believes instead that our nation ought to return to civil society and civilization despite the best efforts of “progressive” leaders to opt for continued madness and anarcho-tyranny.
The New York Young Republican Club stands for the fair and impartial administration of Justice and the rule of law. We are adamantly opposed to being judge, trial, and jury in the know-nothing Court of mob justice before facts have been gathered and investigations have been conducted.
Jordan Neely’s recent death was avoidable, and it occurred because the elected officials in this City all too often demonize and advocate for defunding the police to the point of demoralization so great that it has imperiled day-to-day public safety.
People do not feel safe in New York City. They are not allowed to carry firearms, the police will not come to their aid in time, and, as Manhattan DA Bragg showed with his attempt to charge Jose Alba for murder, self-defense is not available to citizens and their families; that is the message reverberating in each of the five boroughs. Criminals are elevated above victims and law-abiding citizens, unless one happens to have the wrong skin color. Because of this rhetoric, race relations have been sent back decades in this country, and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s dream is on life support.
Another narrative we expect to see because the Marine Veteran is white and the late Jordan Neely is black, is that this death is a symptom of grave injustice where black men are being targeted.
The facts show that the vast majority of crime is intraracial rather than interracial. White Americans are 12 times more likely to be a victim of crime by black offenders than black Americans are by white offenders.
All eyewitness reports to this point have shown that Jordan Neely was verbally and physically dangerous to others in the moments leading up to his death, and it took three people to restrain him. Neely is known from past behavior to have been dangerous, including toward others on subways, and many stories have surfaced attesting to this. What he needed was help and treatment from the vast billions spent on mental health services in this City, but seemingly never delivered in a timely manner by our nonprofit industrial complex.
In the coming weeks and months, the mob will ask for the head of a Marine Veteran, and a corrupt D.A. will likely give the mob what it wants before they move on to the next hysterical conquest.
This will not end until we get the leaders we need rather than the ones we want or deserve.
Make no mistake, New York City has been Gotham for a few years now, and if you don’t see that, it’s because you live in a cloistered world or are paid not to notice.
