Voter protection didn’t just flip Georgia and change the course of the country – it also changed the trajectory of my life.
When I signed up to do the work in Georgia, I thought I was doing a six month tour of duty.
But once I saw the impact of this work, there was no going back.
I left a partner-track law firm gig behind to devote my life to fighting for voters and against voter suppression. Together with my cofounders, I founded Power the Vote to support permanent voter protection programs in battleground states: Arizona, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, and Texas.
When I say I’ve put everything on the line for this mission, I mean it. It’s worth it.
But this work is only possible because of supporters like you.
I still remember watching that very first donation come in two years ago. I jumped out of my chair – because that’s when I knew: I’m not alone in this work.
People like you care just as much about fighting voter suppression. And working together, we’re doing amazing things for our democracy.
That was two years ago, this week! (Boy time flies…) Since that time, literally thousands of folks just like you have come alongside and supported this work.
So in honor of our second birthday, I hope you’ll join them and chip in to power our mission. When you do, you’ll know that you’re directly supporting voter protection – whether that’s getting someone’s ballot cured, or answering a voter’s call at a hotline, or holding local elections officials accountable.
You’re directly supporting democracy, and that’s a beautiful thing.
Thanks in advance for helping Power the Vote and making this work possible.
In solidarity~
