John,
On May 3rd, we held off yet another attack that would have eroded gun violence protection measures. Our supporters enabled us to keep the concealed weapons permitting system in place. Weakening or removing concealed carry permitting requirements is associated with a 29% INCREASE in violent crime rates. We can’t let that happen in NC.
So, I’m asking for your support of our 2023 Annual Campaign. We need your help at NCGV Action to keep staff on the ground and at the General Assembly to advocate for common-sense policies while we organize across the state for community violence intervention programs.
Can we count on you today to ensure our work doesn’t lose momentum when we need it the most?

NCGV Action’s mission is to promote gun violence prevention policies, educate North Carolinians on current gun legislation and the positions of NC elected officials, and support NC candidates who advocate to reduce gun violence. We have recently launched an election fund to support these efforts and have outlined an expanded grassroots strategy ahead of 2024 elections. But, the work needs to start now. Join us with a donation today.
Sincerely,
Becky Ceartas
P.S. Want to be a leader in gun violence prevention? Donors contributing more than $250 annually are recognized as part of our Lisa Price Gun Violence Prevention Circle in memory of our founder and visionary gun violence prevention leader in North Carolina.
