[ [link removed] ]We can’t believe this:
Speaker Kevin McCarthy and House Republicans are calling for the PACT Act
(which provides healthcare to Veterans exposed to toxic burn pits) to be
DEFUNDED by $15 billion in their newly released budget as they hold the
debt ceiling hostage.
Jon Stewart – who passionately fought to pass this landmark bill last year
– had choice words for these Republicans:

Half a million Veterans have filed claims for care for exposure to toxic
burn pits and 3 million have received screenings. Now, Republicans want to
GUT funding for Veterans’ care and they’re risking defaulting on our
national debt to do it.
[ [link removed] ]Do you agree with Jon Stewart that the PACT Act should be protected
from GOP efforts to defund Veterans’ care?

It’s unconscionable that Republicans will champion billions in tax cuts to
corporations and billionaire donors and then demand it be at the cost of
Veterans and their health.
Before the PACT Act, the VA would deny nearly 75% of ALL disability claims
and covered care related to toxic burn pit exposure.
