That’s 15 years ahead of our original target of 2050. That’s thanks to the ambitious climate actions set forth by the Murphy Administration, all serving the goal of protecting our environment, our health, our children’s future, and our economy. 

New Jersey is doubling down on its commitments to clean energy by increasing renewable energy sources throughout the state. Offshore wind energy production is a great opportunity to protect our environment while also boosting our state’s economy in the immediate and long-term future. 

We’re decreasing our dependence on fossil fuels by rewarding families and businesses who switch to electric vehicles and install zero-carbon heating and cooling systems.

Our state is already working to mitigate damage and protect ourselves against the increased dangers caused by climate change and more frequent flooding and natural disasters. 

New Jersey is leading the pack as one of only two states that has set a clean energy goal in the 2030s, but our work can’t stop there. 

The climate crisis won’t be solved by the actions of just one person or one state. It’s going to take all of us working together to make progress. That’s why Stronger Fairer Forward is supporting the candidates and organizations all over the country who share Governor Murphy’s vision for a clean energy future.
