John,

Pennsylvania is home to nearly 800,000 veterans – the fourth highest veterans population in the nation. And thousands of veterans call Pennsylvania's 8th District home.

Veterans have given so much for us, it's our responsibility to take care of them after they're home. Yet Kevin McCarthy and House Republicans' debt-limit bill includes dangerous spending cuts that would harm our nation's veterans.

McCarthy's bill would cut the Department of Veterans Affairs budget by 22%. The result would be 81,000 jobs lost in the department’s health services, 30 million fewer outpatient visits, and an increase in disability backlogs. This is cruel and unacceptable.

McCarthy is willing to hold our economy hostage and hurt our veterans in order to make major cuts to vital programs. I'm fighting back against this reckless proposal and I'll always stand up for veterans, but I want to know if you're with me.

If you agree we must look after our nation's veterans, add your name to let Kevin McCarthy know you reject his reckless debt-limit proposal and budget cuts →
