Our healthcare system is still broken, and families in my district — the Massachusetts 7th — face some of the highest healthcare costs in the country.
We need Medicare For All to ensure that every person in our country has consistent, affordable access to essential care.
Under our current for-profit system, low-income people, BIPOC, immigrants, and others continue to experience significant barriers to care and are disproportionately burdened by negative health outcomes; meanwhile, costs continue to climb unsustainably. The COVID-19 crisis further exacerbated these entrenched disparities.
We cannot continue to play politics with people’s lives. No one should have to choose between groceries and co-pays. No one should need to mortgage their house to pay their medical bills.
Thank you for taking action today,
