I have great news, Friend –
Heather Boyd won her special election in State House District 163 – and we have kept our pro-environment majority!! Here at CVPA, we mobilized our volunteers to call over 3,200 voters and text over 7,000 voters in HD 163 to help Heather win and protect our majority!
We’re also thrilled to share that Sara Innamorato is now the Democratic Nominee for Allegheny County Executive! Our affiliated Political Action Committee raised and spent $100,000 to spread the word that Sara Innamorato was the pro-environment candidate in a tightly contested primary.
These wins mean that we can keep pushing bold, impactful legislation to protect our natural resources, hold polluters accountable, and achieve environmental justice. But, come November, there’s going to be another pro-environment vacancy in the state House because Innamorato is likely to win her race for Allegheny County Executive!
We have a handful of months to seize this opportunity to pass as many ambitious environmental policies in the State House as we can. Friend, can you chip in $10, $25, or more today to help us secure more protections for Pennsylvania’s environment?
Even with these victories, we must be on red alert at all times. Big polluters and their allies in Harrisburg will seize any opportunity to undermine the progress we have made and stall our environmental agenda. It is crucial that we remain vigilant, organized, and raise the funds we need to protect the gains we have achieved and continue to fight for a sustainable future. |
