Across the country, LGBTQ+ rights are under attack due to a coordinated assault by extremist Republicans – and our trans youth are especially being targeted. That is why today on International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia, I'm asking you to stand with me and take action. Time and time again, Republicans have tried to silence and censor LGBTQ+ voices, and these efforts have only intensified. In the last year alone, at least 417 anti-LGBTQ+ bills have been introduced in state legislatures across the U.S. Not only are many of these bills utterly ridiculous and discriminatory – they send the dangerous message that being a member of the LGBTQ+ community is something to be ashamed of. On this crucial day, I want to reaffirm my support for a community I care about deeply. I am committed to never going back – are you with me? Sign on to our petition now and demand Congress take action to protect the rights of the LGBTQ+ community now. Hate and bigotry have no place in Washington or anywhere in our country.
