John, the continued headlines throughout 2023 of mass shootings have been heartbreaking — but unfortunately predictable.

Too many politicians in our country refuse to take the necessary steps to get dangerous weapons off of the street. It's time that we elected more people with the will to act, and who understand the impact of inaction.

I am one of the many Americans whose lives have been touched by gun violence — my biological father was killed when I was just two years old. I can promise you this, John: I will never cower to the gun lobby and I will always champion gun safety legislation.

Will you donate to help send me to the State Senate so I can strengthen our Commonwealth's gun safety laws? Republican pro-gun groups will go all-out to defeat candidates like me, and I'll need the resources early on to face them.

When I was in the House of Delegates, I helped pass landmark gun safety legislation, which included expanding background checks for all gun sales. In the State Senate, I'll push for even bolder action — such as an assault weapons ban. It's my hope that we can set a powerful example for other states to follow.

I'm ready to lend my voice once again to the critical work of protecting our communities, and I'm glad to have you with me in the fight.
